Ragging Incident at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bordumsa Leaves Two Dozen Students Injured

Dibrugarh, June 26: Sensation prevails in the entire Bordumsa sub-division of eastern Arunachal’s Changlang district following a shocking incident of ragging at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bordumsa. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at around 2 PM, involving 11th standard students who injured approximately two dozen 8th standard students.

The altercation took place after school hours when students were having lunch. The boarding school, which accommodates 530 students and 18 teachers, was thrown into chaos as news of the incident spread. Rajiv Ranjan, the Principal, confirmed that a disciplinary committee has suspended five students involved in the incident. The affected students, who suffered both physical and mental abuse, have received preliminary medical treatment.

A meeting of the school’s Parent Teacher Council (PTC) has been convened today to decide further action. Ranjan mentioned that the suspended students would be handed over to their parents at 9 AM today.

Guardians have blamed the school administration, particularly the Principal, for the incident and demanded strict action against both the guilty students and the school administration.
