Deomali, Deomali 24: Wangki Lowang, Minister for PHE/WS, DOTCL, and IT in Arunachal Pradesh, inaugurated a new school building at Govt Upper Primary School Mapoya in Deomali Subdivision. The project, fulfilling a long-standing demand of Mapoya villagers, received funding of Rs.70 lacs under DOTCL, MLA LADS, and NON BADP, with execution carried out by RWD Deomali division.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of ZPMs from Deomali and Soha blocks, CO Soha, teachers, students, and villagers from Mapoya, as well as HoDs and public leaders from the Deomali area. Minister Wangki Lowang, alongside the school building inauguration, actively participated in the VIKSHIT BHARAT SANKALP YATRA program at Mapoya village.
As a gesture of community welfare, the minister also distributed certificates to beneficiaries of various government schemes during the event, marking a comprehensive initiative towards the development and progress of the region.
