Hundreds of people from various walk of life on Wednesday given warm reception to the medal winners of 3rd national Curling championship

BORUM, JAN 10 : Hundreds of people from various walk of life on Wednesday has greeted the medal winners of 3rd national ice curling championship 2024 held at Gulmarg in Jammu & Kashmir from 5-9 January. Parents, family members, well-wishers and members of CBO since early morning waited the Train to reach the Naharlagun railway station, Borum to give warm reception their dear one who secure medial for themselves and bring laurel for the state. 

Arunachal Pradesh curling association (APCA) President Riba Pangia Dolo inform the media that ‘ the performances of all the players are praiseworthy and appreciated”.  It is a great achievement that our children can perform well and win medals and not only win medals for themselves but has bring laurel of rout state. I am proud of them for the achievement. He said.

Out of total 17 participants those who take part in the 3rd national ice curling championship 11 of them has secured medals and is a great achievement in the field of ice curling and winter games of state.  Our team are equally happy to have video conferencing with our chief minister Pema Khandu who has interacted the players which has boost up the moral of the players and congratulation them for their tremendous win in the championship in Jammu & Kashmir. Said Dolo.

The state Curling team brought laurels to our state by winning, 11 silver medals in various cadet are in sub-juniors mixed double  (U-14)- Heri Moses – silver medal, Heri Aspa-Silver medal. In senior female Team (18 +)-Takoni Dodum-silver, Tamuk Nakum- silver, Pungyi Dolo – silver, Mikulu Bagang-silver. In senior male A team (18 +)-Dado Judith- silver, Tao Aman-silver, Limphu Nikangju-silver, Jummar Karbak- silver and Takam dado madang- silver

It is to mention that the executive members of  Heri welfare society, Takam welfare society, Tamuk welfare society and family members of Kabal clan, Pangia clan and Tao clan and attended the reception programme at Railway station.
