Changlang: In line with the Fit and Clean Environment initiative of the government of India, the 31 Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the District Medical Office of Changlang District, successfully organized a cleanliness drive and lecture on Yoga at PK Point in Changlang Town. The event aimed to promote hygiene and raise awareness about the importance of a clean environment.
The day commenced with a dedicated team from the 31 Assam Rifles leading the cleanliness drive in the Changlang Market area. Volunteers enthusiastically participated in picking up litter, sweeping the streets, and ensuring the surroundings were pristine. Alongside the clean-up efforts, a short briefing was provided to highlight the numerous benefits of cleanliness and good hygiene practices.
The initiative was conducted as part of the nationwide ‘Clean India Drive,’ an ambitious campaign launched by the Government of India. The program seeks to educate the public about the significance of maintaining cleanliness in daily life and fostering a healthy environment for all citizens.
Local villagers expressed their gratitude to the security forces for organizing such a noteworthy event.
