Arunachal Pradesh shines at WINGS INDIA 2024 aviation summit

Hyderabad, January 18: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh emerged as a standout performer at the prestigious “WINGS INDIA 2024” biennial event, clinching the coveted Most Proactive State under RCS-UDAN-Priority Areas award. The recognition was bestowed upon the state during the 4th Edition of the Wings India Awards by FICCI, celebrating Arunachal Pradesh’s remarkable contributions to the civil aviation landscape in India.

In a ceremony attended by key dignitaries, including Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, and General V. K. Singh (Retd), Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Director (Civil Aviation) Starlie Jamoh accepted the prestigious award. This accolade follows Arunachal Pradesh’s earlier acknowledgment as the Best Emerging State in the Aviation Sector during the 2022 edition of WINGS INDIA, underscoring the state’s unwavering commitment to advancing aviation infrastructure and connectivity.

The award specifically recognizes Arunachal Pradesh’s proactive measures to enhance remote area connectivity through helicopters and small fixed-wing aircraft.
