ADGBR (East) Reviews BRO Works in Upper Siang District

Upper Siang: P KH Singh, VSM, Additional Director General Border Roads (ADGBR) for the eastern region, conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing Border Roads Organization (BRO) projects in Upper Siang District from 7th to 9th July. During the visit, he assessed the progress of the 761 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) under Project Brahmank.

One of the key highlights of the inspection was the recently rehabilitated Gandhi Bridge. ADGBR Singh personally inspected the bridge and expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and its completion within the set timeframe. The bridge is now fully functional, ensuring smooth connectivity for the local residents and commuters.

Furthermore, Singh also examined the advancement of the Boroung Bridge construction project. He urged the project team to expedite the work while maintaining the highest standards of quality and ensuring minimum inconvenience to road users and the general public.

In addition to the bridge projects, the ADGBR reviewed the ongoing Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) works on the Ditte-Dime Migging Road. He commended the dedicated efforts of the Karmayogis (workers) involved in executing these challenging tasks. Singh provided necessary directions to all involved firms to accelerate the pace of the project according to the planned schedule.

During the visit, ADGBR Singh also emphasized the importance of concurrent activities, directing the EPC contractors to commence work on line drains, culverts, and protective measures simultaneously. Additionally, he encouraged them to plan for black topping work to alleviate the hardships faced by road users.

Accompanying Singh were Suresh Gupta, Officiating Chief Engineer of Project Brahmank, A K Gupta, Commander of 761 BRTF, along with other BRO officials and project managers. Their presence highlighted the significance given to this inspection and showcased the commitment of the BRO in improving infrastructure in the region.
